7 round Swiss. 90 minutes plus 30 seconds per move per player from move 1.

ENTRIES:
All competitors MUST enter online using the digital registration form below.
Entries formally close at 5pm on Wednesday the 6th of March. Entries after this date/time will only be accepted if agreed to by the organisers.
A $10 early bird discount applies to all entries registered before Saturday 24th of February.
FEES & LEVIES:
Entry fees may be paid on the day in cash (please tender the correct change) or by credit card. Entry fees may also be paid online prior to the event by credit card or PayPal, or by direct transfer.

Juniors (under 18 years) $30
In accordance with section 3 of the TCA Constitution, Tasmanian players not already a member of the TCA must pay an Individual TCA Membership levy in addition to their entry fee. This fee entitles the individual to all items listed under rule 3.2 of the constitution until the commencement of the next TCA financial year (rule 6.5)

BYES & NON-ATTENDANCE:
Forced byes generated due to pairing requirements will be given a score of 1 point.
Voluntary byes are not permitted.
Unnotified non-attendance will attract a forfeit and 0 points. 2 instances of unnotified non-attendance will result in withdrawal from the tournament.
NOTES:
The tournament will be both ACF and FIDE rated. If a player is absent at the start of a round, then their clock will be started, and the game forfeited after 30 minutes.
FIDE Laws apply – ringing mobiles will incur automatic loss. Entrants agree to abide by all decisions of the organisers and arbiters. The organisers reserve the right to make any changes required.
